Tumbling softens edges and surfaces to create a worn or aged appearance. The result depends on stone, size and processing cycle; it does not establish the material’s age. Edge irregularity and joints contribute to the finished composition. Compare several pieces and assess cleaning and surface behaviour for the intended location.
